A registered psychologist with a Masters degree in health psychology, Miriam has a unique blend of training, qualifications and experience. Miriam is the leading spokesperson for mind-body medicine in Australia, as well as a senior clinical lecturer and research supervisor at the University of Adelaide.
Miriam has led a successful practice since 2006, teaches on a regular basis, and is a popular speaker. Miriam’s mission is to increase awareness of the Mainspring Method: she trains Australian practitioners in the Mainspring method, and is busy working on the launch of the Mainspring Centre, the first integrated wellness clinic of its type anywhere in Australia.
Miriam is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and the Australian Integrative Medicine Association (AIMA). As well as her health psychology credentials, Miriam Henke is also a certified Life Coach and Hypnotherapist, and a Master Practitioner and Certified Trainer of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and Time Line Therapy®.
Mainspring is about helping people free themselves from the old baggage and burdens of the past so their mind and body can achieve optimal health. My aim is to enable people to move forward into a place of deep healing, with a sense of power and freedom.
Miriam Henke
Miriam has been studying psychology and the science of human behaviour for over 10 years. Her research has included such areas as holistic wellbeing, cancer survivorship, chronic pain, mind-body connection and hypnosis. She is a published author on the subject of mind-body health, has featured on a number of radio programs and magazine articles, and has been been peer-reviewed and published in the International Journal of Wellbeing.
